There is obviously nobody in there at this late hour, but when I click on the chat it says you are not allowed to enter. Is there something else we need to do in order to gain access to the chat?

Were you logged in to your account at the time? Members are required to be logged in to get access. I will take a look to see if I missed a permission setting, though.
