Sagarin Computer Ratings:

I can do better than that. AthlonSports.com has us at 24: https://athlonsports.com/college-football/fcs-rankings-top-25-power-poll-following-week-12-2019
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
STATS Media Poll:
We didn't crack the top 25. We received enough votes to put us at #26.
College Sports Madness has us ranked 21 and their Bracketology has us playing Northern Iowa in 1st round.
I think we need to put the bracketology to rest and just beat NDSU!

Did you see NDSU dropped over 700 yards of offense on South Dakota last Saturday? We're going to have to put on our big boy pants and hope for a few breaks.

I don't claim to know, or even understand, how all the polls are done. The NCAA's simple rating system has 1-10 WIU at 33 and the Dawgs at 85. I know I'm missing something, but what the hey?

My question regarding the playoff projections are whether they are based off the body of work so far, or if they take into account future match-ups where teams will not be favored - such as SIU this week against the #1 team.

The date on that rating is November 2018.

opps! sorry. that explains it.

Still have no idea how Nicholls St is ranked #23. Sagarin has them 20 spots below us with a lot weaker schedule. Both 7 - 4.
Same for #17 Furman. Weaker schedule, behind us in Sagarin, and same record .. 7 - 4.

This is a great point. Even a few weeks back it was fairly easy to predict what the Salukis schedule would end up. I know that Brian McLaughlin from HeroSports.com has been saying the Salukis are in based on their likely 7-4 final record. (Arkansas St loss being ignored)
