Now that basketball is done, we get a football season ending and a football season starting before they play again.
The Penguins are 0-2 on the season with losses to North Dakota State and Northern Iowa
Youngstown State is coached by first year head coach Doug Phillips who was running backs coach for Cincinnati in 2018 & 2019.

Game is on ESPN+ at 11AM! Go Dawgs
Excited for this one. Hoping we don't have a letdown after last week's big win. Need to ride that momentum for the rest of the year and into recruiting.
I'm especially looking forward to seeing how Baker does.
Let's go!
Nick Hill with Mike Reis pregame:
This game should tell us if last week was a fluke or we are riding a special horse this year. Nic Baker was great last week against #1 NDSU, if he comes anywhere close to that performance today then there should be no doubt who should be holding the reins at QB.
Let's go Salukis! 3-1 would be a great start
Poor start on defense. YSU has a quick running back and their offensive line is creating openings, much like North Dakota was able to do. Need to answer and shore up our run D!
So much for hoping we wouldn’t come out sluggish. Defense just getting pushed around.
This is awful. Run defense is horrible, just like at North Dakota and we already have a turnover that led to a score. We look a lot more like the team that played NDU than the team that played NDSU!
Pathetic. So much for capitalizing on last week.
YSU controlling the line of scrimmage plus poor tackling is allowing a D2 transfer - and one of the smallest players I’ve seen in FCS football - to run right around and through us.
YSU has essentially doubled their entire season’s offensive production in the first quarter against us.
Not the start we were hoping for, ladies and gents.
