I saw some of the 1st quarter coverage and the comments on here about the poor camera work was...well, polite. If only SIU had a degree program in broadcasting or something...

I disagree. We ran over them 3rd qtr but dumb penalties negated 10 - 14 pts. Then DJW getting hurt was a huge blow. If that doesn't happen, I don't think the game gets close.
1st half we looked like possibly the best team in the MVC. Barring any serious injuries, this team can kick some butt in the MVC.

Special teams has to be fixed, it cost you last season throughout the year and then you lost a playoff game because of it and they can't even get field goals up this year due to bad snaps and holds. They should have had this game put away if they could kick.
Th FG was definitely a bad snap tonight. Hill has to be sick to death of not feeling comfortable sending out the kicking team. 3 trips to the red zone with zero points. Have to figure this out fast. Crossing my fingers that DJ is good to go next week. Offense looked really good today, really started coming together.
A win is a win. I was absolutely thrilled by our first half performance, flawless. 2nd half, it certainly seemed to me that we were playing not to lose, very complacent IMO. Lucky to get this win. I also hope that there are no serious injuries.

I just don't understand the bad camera work, not having the correct down, or yardage, or timeouts on the banner. Is this what we can expect the whole season for our home game coverage? Oh yeah, great win for the Dawgs, but that TV coverage was atrocious. I saw better cover on the High School game between WF / Carterville last night, and I am not exaggerating.
The first half last night was one of the best in recent memory, which is saying something.
DJ looked like he might be one of the best QBs in the country out there. The lines dominated. Lewis and Hezekiah looked like big talents.
Hopefully that’s a glimpse of what’s to come this season.
All that without 3 captains playing, by the way, as Hill eluded to in his presser.
I didn’t watch the whole presser. Did he say anything about the extent of DJ’s injury? It would be a real downer to lose him for even part of the season.
