I love this board and all of multiple personalities of the posters I tend to stay even keel through out the game and all I can say is those who still believe Nic Baker can't play at this level I am serving crow tomorrow
I have been irritated in the past during a bball game when posters come on AFTER the game (with hindsight in hand) to tease those of us who were "passionately" posting during the game. That being said, I get now where they're coming from. Reading some of the posts were cracking me up. I won't call anyone out bc I'm not the pot calling the kettle black, but still funny nonetheless. I will say this.......... we were playing a RANKED team, on the road, in a rivalry game and some fans thought it should be a cakewalk ? We knew going into the season this team wasn't supposed to be great. Think how fun it would be if this team could keep winning until they play SDST.

Dude remember the old days 2000 or so to 2007. Our forum boards were insane and fun back then. I still remember the Butler gymnasium that snowy night when Jamal Tatum won the game. My kids were still little and they probably thought my wife and I had gone completely insane.

That would likely be a top 5 matchup if both teams stay undefeated…homecoming no less. If we can’t get close to selling that out, I don’t know what else would do it.

No only were our programs in their prime, but the complexity of social media was yet to really build. The only outlet you had was Internet forums and Facebook for keeping track of your high school buddies. All of that was still individualized and not the echo-chambers that they are today.

I know that I am biased but those days were just awesome, both on and off the field/court.
As bad as SIU played in the first half, thought they played really well in the 2nd half. 4 turnovers is gonna lose you most games but props to them for not giving up. I wouldn't call it a lucky win.
