Last week took the wind out of the sails of this season's expectations, but time to look forward. Let's talk SEMO and the War for the Wheel.
Hopefully we get a decent crowd for this rivalry game.
SEMO is coming off a 42-10 loss at Iowa State, although it appeared to be somewhat competitive at halftime. They were picked preseason 2nd in the Ohio Valley this year after a disappointing 4-7 season last year (although all 4 of those wins were in conference).
I expect a much different game than last year when we pasted them in Cape. If we play as poorly as we did last week, I expect an easy SEMO win. If we were to re-group and win this one, though, that would give me some faith in this coaching staff and we could regain some optimism for the season.
Needless to say, it's an important game. What do you guys think?
IMO this is a must win game. I went from thinking Dawgs could be 2-0 heading into NW week 3 to now concerned we could be 0-2. Looking forward to seeing if we improved in any phase of the game. Hopefully the players did some serious soul searching. It’s one thing to get beat but it’s another thing to have ZERO energy from all players. We need leadership on both sides of the ball. Seems like IW fed off their QBs energy.
This game is scheduled to air on "TheCW 9"/KFVS-D2.

We are -15 on BetOnline. Feels too big.

I have -16.5 on BetMGM. Vegas is usually right. Feels high though, but then again I know nothing about SEMO.
10 minutes to kick-off. Anyone at the game? Curious to see how the crowd is.
Was gonna go but it was raining a few minutes ago and the radar looks a little iffy. Not a great crowd - I'm sure the weather has something to do with that. Game's on ESPN3 if your TV provider carries that - most do.
Stone Labanowitz is the ESPN3 analyst for this game - in a suit with a haircut.

I just tuned in and heard the other analyst mention Stone's name. Pretty cool to have him back and doing the game. He sounds good.
Reis just said Stone is cohost of a new sports radio show in Miami. This is his first broadcasting gig.
Starting receivers - the Cox twins. No Hartrup yet.
Deonte has caught several on this drive.
Horrible red zone play calling again. SIU settling for a field goal.
Baker's pocket presence is non existent
Incarnate Word 24, Nevada 17, halftime
Brutal to not come away with 6 points there.
