Watching the SDSU game, the coach said, according to the announcer, that 6 players were offered 6 figures NIL money but came back to win a Natty. Tucker Large was offered $500,000.
Gronowski was offered over a million and came back.
They like it there and they like winning, and I imagine they're getting decent NIL money at SDSU, which is somehow coming up with the bucks.

Des Hearns to Wyoming
Wonder how Hill & Co. are doing in the transfer portal. They have to recruit a brand new group of WR’s and RB’s.
This is what I have seen so far. There are probably others I'm not aware of. Most of these players have multiple offers so we'll see how this shakes out.

Bowling Green feels so underwhelming...hope he got paid!
It's FBS so I imagine he will get more NIL money plus better exposure.Bowling Green feels so underwhelming...hope he got paid!
@resaluki-88 He’ll be playing on Tuesday or Wednesday evenings playing in the MAC.
In the MAC on those days will mean exposure on ESPN and a chance to go to a bigger school
- @siu_2011 The folks at Penn State and Texas A & M would likely disagree after watching 7 and 6-point margin games respectively this season against the Falcons. Once in a while BG wins those close ones, too, like last year at Ga Tech and a couple years ago at Minnesota's Homecoming. This season, the Falcons have a 1st team All-American TE, a RB who will be starting next year at Va Tech, and a couple more players who will be power 4 next year.
- And, if things work out for him as a Falcon, he will get to play in stadiums at Az State, Iowa State, Ohio State, and at home in Bowling Green vs Iowa State during his career. I'd take that in a heartbeat.
Jamond Mathis to Kent State
@boomer while I am happy that the young man found his destination, I beg the following.
Will BGSU ever play in a CFP ?
Will BGSU ever play for a National Title ?
Urban Meyer is longer the coach there, and in fact that position has been a revolving door of sorts since his departure. The MAC is a good to mediocre conference, depends on the year.
So much for southern Illinois kids staying local. Loyalty is no longer. My advice, get your degree, because the pro option is slim and none.
SIU won at NIU, and Northwestern recently. Maybe they should join the MAC.
GO DAWGS!!!

Will BGSU ever play in a CFP ?: A MAC Team: Yes. BG: Slightly possible. And, I hope their wide receiver is named Middleton."
Will BGSU ever play for a National Title ?:
"Not in basketball."
SIU won at NIU, and Northwestern recently.
"Also won at Bloomington, and almost won at Ole Miss. All were great games showing we can compete."
Maybe they should join the MAC:
If I win Mega Millions, we can."
Holiday Trivia: Six years ago this month, a kid from southern Illinois verbally committed to Bowling Green, despite an offer to play for SIU. What was that player's name?
