Listening to post game sounds like Nick thought both Stone and Lyles deserved to start so the fact that Stone didn’t wow him in the first half resulted in Lyles getting the second half. Should be interesting to see how things play out in the QB room this week.

I simply don't get it.  I guess a person would have to be with the team and in the qb room to understand.

What happened to Stone L.  Did it look serious?

Didn't see anything but as I said earlier, he took a few big hits before halftime.  I think it's obvious he was hurt because Hill went to Zebrowski at the end

Nope. Hill thought Lyles deserved a chance! What??? I seriously question his judgement when it comes to QBs! Does the guy want to win?

Now he's making excuses for Lyles! Mentions Stone made a bad decision - should have thrown it away (the pick to Eliot), but says Lyles 1st pick wasn't his fault! Sounds like NH making excuses for his bad decision to take SL out! Stone on his worst day is better than Lyles on his best!

SL QB efficiency 104, 88% completions.

KL QB efficiency 24, 37% completions.

If Lyles starts the next game, I won't be watching!

Well, unfortunately, that sound of a wadded up piece of paper hitting the bottom of a trash can we heard is the playoff selection committee tossing our profile sheet away.

Probably.

Keep in mind that not only have we beaten a #1 and #4, but we have lost to a #2 and a #6.  Not too bad.  If we win out we will get in.

The other MVFC teams competing with us for the 3 possible playoff spots are about to beat up on each other too.  SIU really controls their own destiny going forward in my mind.  But it's hard not to see them slipping up to one of the lesser teams after today.

Winning at Mo St. won't be easy! Winning at Redturd St. (beat WIU today) will not be possible with KL at QB!

Mo St currently beating UNI in the crap dome! They have an excellent coach now. He has not yet found a new girlfriend among the Mo State student body, so he is fully concentrating on football!

Why not go back to Stone then?

Pride? I mean he gave him those two series initially when he threw picks and by then the game is lost so what does it hurt at that point. Makes you wonder if he and Stone aren’t getting along or something. He’s your only QB at this point though since Baker is gone for the year. Sure hope he hit a home run with the other Stone.

I've had the thought that NH may be one of those coaches that play favorites. You hate to think that at this level, but I was shocked that Lyles was the starter at the beginning of the season. I figured Labanowitz or Baker. And to pull Labanowtiz after he played well 1st half - one not great but not terrible pass - escaped sacks, 8 for 9? Makes no sense at all. SL and NB both have that pocket presence - they feel the rush and have escapability. KL has none IMO and makes poor decisions.

I've heard announcers say you could not ask for a better teammate than SL. He's all for the team.

@salukiworld  Wow! From a top 5 ranking to maybe missing playoffs in one game!
