Not taking anything from this game because SDSU is the #1 team in the country (IMO) but I'm not sure this SIU team is all that great and I'm nervous about the next 4 weeks. Indiana State is currently handling Western Illinois easily and none of the teams SIU have beaten are very good. They did have the Kansas State game at least.

We look awful and they look great. Why we are running up the middle I have no idea.
Not really understanding the game plan on offense. Trying their best to run the ball (they have a light box), but unable to get much blocked up. I know we are down Cox, but really going to need to open it up a bit.

Not prepared to play. Defense is lost, offense with zero creativity. This is just embarrassing and honestly, probably should have been expected I guess
I think next week will tell a lot about this team. North Dakota is a good team that played well last year at home against them. If they lose, the path to the playoffs gets pretty tough.

Beating SEMO and Dayton not impressive. KState lost their starting QB and had two costly turnovers, so I was not that impressed with our performance there. Unquestionably, we are not the team we were last Spring. This won't be our only loss I'm afraid, but it will probably be our most embarrassing.

They can afford losing to South Dakota State, even by a large margin. But with North Dakota, @ Northern Iowa, and Missouri State coming up, we're going to learn a lot about this team. I'm not so sure going 1-2 in those games and taking care of Indiana State and Youngstown State puts them firmly in the playoffs. I guess the good news is they have a better reputation with the committee compared to 2019 because of what they did in Spring.
