If anyone is curious (not that it matters), but someone posted a video on the Saluki Football Facebook page in the comments that leaves no doubt that we should have had that touchdown. They took the video on the SIU side right in the end zone where he caught the pass...too bad the officials couldn't use that in the review.
Was at the game. The views shown on the scoreboard looked like he fell on his back side inside the out-of-bounds line and never bobbled the ball. Every Saluki fan in the place booed when they didn't overturn that call. Hill said in the postgame interview that the replay ref can not use the view the fans saw on the scoreboard. He has other views (that are not shown to the fans.)
Sure as H looked like he had a foot or his butt down a yard inside the boundary.
For most of the game, our play calling was very conservative. Last 6 minutes after we got down 14 - 0, we showed some urgency and played more of a hurry-up and took a few chances. That worked, although that TD drive was helped by a couple of great receptions by Cox and Hartrup. NH needs to get an OC he trusts and let him sit up in the booth and call the plays.
Our D played great, as did theirs. The team with the superior lines again won the game. USD's lines were huge and tall.
They sacked NB 7 times!!!! Just like YSU. Hill really needs to recruit better line talent. NDSU will blitz us to death, just like YSU and USD.
This was a game where our QB's lack of height was a real detriment to the offense. They knocked down a bunch of passes at the line of scrimmage.
Listening to NH post game, there were a number of bad calls that really hurt us. We were robbed on that TD catch by Cox. Worst reffing we've had this year.

for two to win it and the unguarded receiver never had control of the ball and dropped it. He even grabbed his head in agony
because he knew he had dropped a gimme. But the idiot replay ref overturned it. Terrible call.
We win the next two and we get a seed. We play NDSU tough and whip InSU, I think we still have a good chance to get in.
