Petrino won't last past this year in Springfield.
Maybe lasts a little longer than normal because of his past experiences FBS has so much money now can't take an image hit that might hold up the Brinks truck
Mo State was down 20 - 0 to OK. State in 2nd qtr. Held them to 3 pts. rest of the way while scoring 16 and lost 23 - 16. Petrino is a darn good coach, and they will be tough to beat.
Agree. I think they’ll challenge for the league title. That turnaround is pretty unbelievable.
I give Petrino two more years at MSU, maximum, before a bigger school scoops him up (again).
He's just one of those guys that knows how to create a winner in a hurry - been successful everywhere he went. Used to love to watch his Louisville teams.
I watched a bit of Ok. St./ Mo. St and thought they would get beat by 50 so I quit watching. Talk about adjustments and turning your team around! Shut down a very good , 26th ranked team and almost beat them. 23 first downs to Ok. State's 16, time of possession 11+ minutes. Held OkSt to 1.9 yds per carry rushing. Ok. St stopped the Bears on a 4th down late in the game to hold on.
One of the most impressive performances this weekend. If they do well in the Valley, he may be gone before next year.

I was impressed by the Bears second half, I think I was most impressed by UNI this weekend though. Neck and neck with 7th ranked Iowa State the entire game. Defense played really well and their offense had some moments where they moved the ball pretty well (obviously not enough).
This year the MVFC is going to be a dogfight pretty much every week.

Seems UNI always has an outstanding D.
Nic Baker Co-offensive player of the week. No surprise there.
I was surprised Avante Cox wasn't listed under notable performances with 5 catches and a TD for 187 yards. WR Quan Hampton of UNI was listed - 8 catches for 99 yards and 1 touchdown. Think Avante got the shaft - if that isn't a notable performance, I don't know what is.
Dayton beat EIU in Dayton, 17 - 10. EIU not very good.
If you have ESPN+, watch the 4th quarter of the MoState Cent. Ark game. Unbelieveable! Like a pickup games in the schoolyard.
40 points scored in the 4th, most in the last 5 minutes.
Baker should pass for 600yds against MoState. Terrible pass D.
Saw the boxscore of Mo St game - 40 points scored in the 4th quarter, most in the last 5 minutes.
Leathernecks officially changing their name to the Cashmerenecks. Gave up 55 in the 1st half to E. Washington! Outscored 27 - 0 in the 2nd qtr.

He'd probably get removed once we get up 40 plus points. Gotta make sure the back up QBs stay game ready in case of injury and no sensing risking your QB in a blowout.

Hero Sports came out with and article today comparing the MVFC and the Big Sky conferences:

I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Glad we don't play NDSU or S. Dakota this year.
USD 24 at UNI 0 at half. They're just getting better and better.
NDSU 20 Redchickens 0
Pretty surprised by that USD-UNI result. USD looks legit, to state the obvious.
UNI is in the middle of a murderous row of games.
Man, the MVFC is loaded.
