Vegas has got us as a 6.5 point dog to YSU. I've watched YSU twice this year. We certainly could/should win this one. NO TURNOVERS.
By the way, YSU is also 1-3. Not good to be almost a TD underdog to a 1-3 team. I hate that it's this early in the season and we're in a win out situation to simply make the playoffs. I guess we'll just have to wait till next year.

If DeSomer is the best passing QB we have on this roster, Nick Hill needs to do a better job of recruiting at this position. If they want to play DeSomer to mix things up with wildcat formations, fine.....but let's not pretend he's able to pass the football.
DeSomer has missed two WIDE OPEN receivers for touchdowns. It's clear he can't throw a decent ball. Sit him down and put someone in that can.
Sooo many penalties and missed opportunities (at least we didn't turn it over three times!). Poor special teams (What the hell happened to Lane Reazin? He has been really poor this year.) Defense played a pretty good game but offense couldn't do anything outside a couple drives. Another year another losing season.

Wow - Straub is hurt and we lose to a mediocre YSU team. Shades of last year.
Defense played decent - much better than against SEMO. Got screwed on that last YSU drive on a (non) pass-interference call in the end zone.
DeSomer can run but his passing is just bad. I'm betting Stone is a way better passer. (71% in JC) Or maybe fr. Austin Reed. Need a decent backup for sure. Just have to have a decent QB at this level to have a chance.
Also don't understand why RB D.J. Hampton isn't getting a chance to play. From what I've seen, he would be next in line to Davis.

Paulson has got the brunt of the criticism this year, and the one time his unit puts up an admirable performance, we lose. Maybe losing Straub hurt, but in the end, to blame the loss to his injury is simply making excuses.

I don’t have the stats on penalties in front of me, and I’m not sure I want to research it on a Saturday night where I would rather take the time to watch the UFC fight, but it seems like penalties have been an issue all year.
