Next week's opponent Austin Peay is down 62-0 at Louisville. The gap between the FBS and FCS has been quite noticeable this year so far.
@salukiworld Not so sure about that. NDSU gave Colorado all it could handle. Idaho gave Oregon all it could handle. Illinois State showed it could hang for a half with Iowa. There are successes out there. The most disappointing one by far is the showing by SIU. I expected them to compete if not win against a so-so FBS team. The Salukis were shown up from the opening kick off. Additional scholarships make a big difference for FBS teams, especially in the second half.

We weren’t exactly out of the game at half either. We are a better program than Illinois State at this point and probably a better team even this year.
It has been brutal for FCS teams this year. I don't think there has been even one victory., but perhaps I'm wrong about that.
Most games haven't even been close.
(Inflammatory political snark)

Montana St. won at New Mexico. Granted, the Lobos might be one of the worst teams in the FBS. Our playoff foes last year, Idaho, played Oregon to a 10-point game on Saturday.

And.... basically removing scholarship limits for FBS schools.
The Power 5 have destroyed college athletics. I’ll hang in there as long as SIU is competitive. But I refuse to watch the Power 5 unless there’s some tie to schools outside of that group. The NCAA is a joke. I still believe all schools outside of the Power 5 should tell them to go play with themselves at set minimum payments for all games against those schools (i.e. if Illinois plays SIU or any other school outside of the Power 5 it’s a minimum of $1M for the buy game). They have more money than they know what to do with and still they’re looking to take more from all other schools. The school with the most money at the end wins! I’m jumping off of my soap box.
WoW! NIU upsets Notre Dame. They played great. ND was obviously way overrated but still a great win for the Huskies over #5 rated Our Lady.
Just a little salt in the wound to the Irish they paid NIU 1.4 million to come over and lose to themWoW! NIU upsets Notre Dame. They played great. ND was obviously way overrated but still a great win for the Huskies over #5 rated Our Lady.
NIU is ranked #25 by the AP. Not sure they've ever been ranked.

According to a few sources on the web, the last time they were ranked was 2013. They also made the top 25 in 2003 (peaking at No. 12), 2010 (when Kill was head coach) and 2012.
Ohio State barely beats Nebraska on OSU Homecoming! They're not as good as advertised. Don't see them winning at Penn State and not sure they can beat Indiana or Michigan. Lose to Michigan again and Ryan Day will be gone I think.
Illinois going to get hammered at Oregon.
NIU losing to Testicle Tech. Still not sure how they beat ND.
