Lot of surprises. 8 win UT Martin and EIU get the shaft.
Nichols got their auto-bid with 6 wins and a forfeit win. They lost at home to SEMO in a close game. They won at UIW.
SEMO beat Nichols with their backup QB. Nichols rated #38 in Massey ratings. Idaho rated #6. Sure looks like a favorable matchup in the 1st round. Obviously tougher matchup in 2nd round, but at least we won't play an MVFC team until the quarter finals. Unfortunately, that would be SDSU.
Idaho is very good - they have a great QB.

I just looked at the bracket. I was wrong. We wouldn't play SDSU until the semi's. If we got past Idaho, big if! They put 3 MVFC teams in the same quarter bracket. NDSU, UND and USD. Montana State also in that bracket! South Dakota would get UND in the 2nd round if UND gets past Sacramento State and NDSU will get a tough Montana State team after they demolish Drake.
