I really don't want to go into Ole' Miss without him. He's one of the 2-3 guys we really have to have on the field.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Did anybody go to tonight's scrimmage? I sure would like a patented underdawg scouting report.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
I was heartened that Stone Labanowitz looks very good--he's only 5-9 but a solid 180-190 and can scramble very well to either hit guys or run for yardage--IMO he is ahead of DeSomer. DJ Hampton ran for a 50 plus TD and caught a long pass from Labanowitz for one---also scoring on a long catch and run was 6-8 250 Nigel Kilby--he outran our corners--if he hurries up an learns the play book he could be a force--he's lanky but
hard to handle for smaller DBs
Chinn was not dressed but was wearing a knee brace and walking normally---looks like he may have a chance to play in two weeks.
I thought Berner and knighton looked great at pressuring the QBs--by the way Sam Skinner was joking it up not-dressed for the scrimmage. Looks like he is recovering from his slight concussion well
Hill says the D-line is much improved. That will be key to us moving up in the Valley this year.

At TE and interesting "competition"--Varble is talented (6-4, 250) but 6-8 250 Kilby is coming on--Kilby's big disadvantage is not having the whole playbook down yet. Varble seems to be the number one, though Kilby is coming on---Nigel catches everything and when he broke a tackle of a linebacker and outran the DB's for a TD (40 yards), you're going to have to convince me Varble is better.

That sounds like a very impressive catch/run by Kilby. The most talent always seems to win out.

We don't get a lot of love, but they do call us a darkhorse, "With some of the top teams maybe taking a step back this year, the Salukis have a great chance to move up the standings and make the playoffs. Nick Hill and his staff have not only brought excitement back to this program, but also a ton of talent in their recent recruiting classes. We could see the result of that in 2018."
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Maybe we would benefit with a lot of two TE sets.
Wow--good guess. They have rolled out one or two looks where the TE's are on either side of OL--But I say give Kilby a chance at slot receiver too!
Sam Straub is on the CFPA's (College Football Performance Award) watch list this year. Let's hope he wins it. If he does, we are probably in the playoffs.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
let's see what he does with a full healthy year--certainly has the body for the NFL
