I would like to know who was behind the scheduling to make NDSU our opponent even before all the injuries and you could compete at a high level this was a bad idea I have always been lead to believe you schedule someone you can beat and have a celebration

Had the same thought. Scheduling NDSU for Homecoming was dumb. With this year's "new" team and all the injuries, this will be a massacre, something that no alum wants to see!
Conference Schedule is set by the MVC and SIU has no say in that process that I know of. I guess they could of flipped ISU for Homecoming and the Blackout Cancer date be this weekend, but I suspect the Homecoming is established well in advance of the MVC posting their football schedule for teams.
They set the schedule but not Homecoming. SIU could and should have picked InSU on 10/26 after seeing the schedule. "Better" opponent and the peak of Fall color and usually gorgeous weather.
SIU obviously could not choose Homecoming before knowing the schedule. (Otherwise might have picked an away game date!)
Makes sense. Sycs might get us too though lol.
True - I don't expect either Williams or Simmons to be back by then, and that game is at Terrible Haute.
Curry doesn’t look too bad really
Yuck. That first drive looked promising until we turned it over. Gonna be a looooong game.
Curry looks like a taller Nic Baker. Rough game to make your first start in and don't know if they'll score but he doesn't look overwhelmed.
This season is a disaster but the amount of young players that are contributing makes me optimistic for the future still. From Jerrian Parker to Allen Middleton to Jake Curry
Field goal unit screws up every kick within 30 yards and then hits a 50 yarder?
pfffft .....
I thought until that last drive that NDSU looked really flat compared to what I've seen of them in earlier games. On the other hand, our D has played much better than last week's bad effort against a mediocre Redturd team (who got whipped 41 - 7 in Abnormal today by Mo State.)
Hopefully we don't collapse in the 4th and get blown out. Curry hasn't been terrible...not accurate but not overwhelmed at all.
We need to keep them from scoring on this first drive I think.
Our RB room sure does not impress me at all. Wonder what happened to the kid from Duquesne who was supposed to be a stud.
I miss the Cox brothers. Seems like our WRs drop a lot of passes this year.
after a TO, penalty - Jesus!!
