Bueller? Bueller?
(1) US COVID-19 statistics (February 29, 2020-June 16, 2020): 2,124,000 reported cases and 115,052 deaths
(2) Donald Trump (June 15, 2020) told a group of senior citizens that there would be very few cases of COVID-19 if the US stopped its testing and contact tracing: "If we stop testing right now, we'd have very few cases, actually."
(3) Donald Trump [(Jan 20, 2020), when asked if he's worried about a pandemic]: “No. Not at all. And we have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s — going to be just fine.”
Desommer starting again. What's wrong with Straub? I can't have the volume on to hear the announcers.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Why are we putting an OLB on a slot instead of running nickel?
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
OLB on a slot. Been burned 3 times already. What the ...?
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Why did we decide to pass in the red zone? We've got a qb who simply can't pass and has trouble reading defenses. Run, run, run and wait until we get into the middle of the field and have DeSommer stretch the field to get the safeties back.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Our OLB on a slot bets burned AGAIN. Don't we have any DB's to run nickel?
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
This is hands down the worst play calling of Nick's tenure. I know it's tough with a qb that can't pass, but Nick's had far too many questionable calls. And I've finally had enough of Paulson. FIRE THE BUM!
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
I have been completely taken back by how little impact this year's class of FBS transfers have made.
Nick needs to do a much better job at identifying what FBS transfers can actually play, and not simply take them because they were highly recruited out of high school.

So SIU is every other team in The Valley's "get well" plan. Why did Hill move away from an offense that started the season "on fire" and move to a QB that can't throw the football? I'll ask again, does SIU not have any other QBs on the roster that can throw the ball, outside of Straub? I'm guessing the Straub benching today is some kind of disciplinary response......and man did SIU pay for it! This coaching staff has an "F" on the season thus far.
Been a while since SIU went 1-10 .
Been a while since SIU went 1-10 .
This program is in ruins.
We appear to be anchored to two senior QBs who have shown nothing. Our play calling is worse than Bob Smith's. The hire was a fatal mistake.
Craving a McBride Special!
Why didn't Straub play?
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Why didn't Straub play?
I don't know but we shouldn't be wasting our time with either one of them. We won't win another game this season so give the reps to one of the kids.

We're not a well-coached team, especially the D. Just can't stop the run (or the pass for that matter but they barely passed today.) I find the undisciplined personal foul penalties disturbing - especially this late in the season.
Desomer isn't what I would call a great passer, but he was way better today than Straub was last week. Other than the bad interception, he was decent. (Straub has thrown a few bad interceptions too.)
Would be nice to see what Labanowitz could do. 72% completions at JC last year.
Nick Hill has two more years to straighten it out. I'd love to see that happen. At this point, I would say he's a very inexperienced head coach. Not sure he was ready to be a head coach at this level. Look at how quickly Bob Nielsen turned around South Dakota, but he's been a head coach for many years (and won a couple of D2 Natl Championships).
Nick really needs to up the recruiting. He seems to think we have as much talent as anyone in the league. I don't think so.
