Well I guess I'll get it started. This is a big game and will likely go a long way in determining whether or not we are ready to take a step forward this year. You have a wounded Redbirds team without 3 of their receivers and one of the best backs in the FCS so I think it is not secret what the key to this game is going to be...stop the run. Defense, for the most part, has played much better this year and should be able to get some stops. Offense needs to have a bounce back week! Hopefully playing at home with more ideal weather conditions will allow them to move the ball much better than they did at SDSU. Win this game and the chance for playoff football becomes a real possibility...Let's Go Dawgs!

Well our defense against the SDSU RB Pierre Strong was encouraging - only gained 229 yards! 😥

I don't think the Redturds are that good this year. Lost to a bad (for) NIU team, got crushed by NDSU, and did Not blow out a very bad EIU team.

I think we win this - would love to see our guys come out psyched and crush the BirdTurds like we did a couple of years ago. We can't start out with our heads about half in the game like we did against UTM. Wish we had Stone and DJ back though!

DJ for sure...I think Kare has held his own. He’s got a pretty talented arm (better than Stone IMO) so I don’t think there is much drop off if any with him. He’s made two really poor decisions (I suspect this is why he lost the qb battle with Stone), but hopefully he’s learning from those. Definitely can’t afford a poor start like we did against UTM. That win looks more impressive than I initially thought btw as they look to be one of the better teams in the OVC thus far.

If SIU is going to keep their record respectable this year, they need to win this game.  They need a turning point for this program and beating ISU tomorrow would be a good step in the right direction.

He's done OK.  Kare's made more than two bad decisions IMO. Fortunately the opponent has failed to intercept. Not as accurate as Stone, who has not made bad decisions for the most part.

Hopefully he continues to improve and has a great game tomorrow.

For sure more than two bad decisions so has Stone...I said really poor e.g. the throw to the end zone before half of the Arkansas State game. I haven’t seen Stone make that poor of a decision yet (has avoided the big mistakes). I am hopeful for a zero turnover game from him tomorrow.

Just checked the odds.  We're anywhere from -2 1/2 to -10.  If I were a bettin' man, I would certainly take the dawgs and give 2 1/2.  I don't think I would give 10.  Go dawgs.

I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

Can we please replace Lyles?  When will this experiment be over.

If Baker, our third string qb can't even throw a 15 yard pass, I guess we're stuck with Lyles.  Great.

That was horrendous.  Great play call, receiver wide open, and he hits the defender in the back 5 yards behind the receiver.

Lyles has the weakest arm.  But at least he's not accurate.  Even though Baker choked on the fake field goal, isn't it about time to see what he can do.  Lyles continues to prove to never be the answer.

Never thought Hill would have trouble with the QB position when he was hired and it'll be his biggest indictment when he's gone
