Wow, that happened quickly. I stopped through last weekend and looked around and they hadn't done anything to it that I could tell.

The basketball arena is also getting a new video board.
Diving north on 51 I noticed the board right away when it came into view. Noticed the colors were brilliant as it kept changing continually.
Okay, that actually is the board I saw. I just thought it hadn't been replaced since it still has that faded Salukis logo up on the top. Looks like it will be a nice improvement!

Awesome! Hoping for improvements on the field and the win/loss column this year. Hill really needs to take a step forward with this program. Would love to make it back for a football game this year, but won't make the 6 hour trek to watch the Salukis get smoked.
Also kind of surprised they're replacing the video scoreboard in the arena. Didn't think anything was wrong with it, but it may be part of a contract that SIU signed with the new company out of Brookings, SD.

Had not gotten wind of the arena upgrade, but anything to make it nicer in the seats.
Or like the Enterprise center and the Blues Cup run this year, nicer screens make it easier to sell watch tickets at home for important post season games. (NCAA final 4 watch party anyone?){too soon?}

I didn't think about the whole watch party thing.....but that could be a draw depending on the event.
