Morning after doesn't feel any better after that loss.

Not to pick on the kid, but how many missed FGs is that for #91? We have two other kickers on the roster. Neither have gotten an opportunity this season, but I wonder if it's time. A playoff team needs to be able to make a critical 40-yarder at home.

If Hill didn't have confidence in him from 40, he needed to use one of those downs to get 5-10 yards closer. The way the offense was moving at that point it wouldn't be a stretch to expect them to be able to pick that up.

Regardless, losing at home is not good.  I’m sure one of you experts has the win/loss record at Saluki Stadium. It can’t be over .600.

@saluki44 other kickers have gotten the  chance with similar results that is why he is back in there not to mention we don't see what happens in practice

Hard to root for a team that loses games because of unsportsmanlike conduct calls.  Oh, well...it's basketball season.

Super disappointed in the outcome. Missed most of the game due to work schedule. For folks at the game was that UNI QB that good, or perhaps our DB's just had a no good, awful, very bad day.

I think we finish strong at 7-4 and 6-2 in the always good MVFC.

GO DAWGS!

The UNI QB was really good.  Wouldn't be surprised if Iowa is knocking on his door over the offseason or another FBS program.

You know, I agree the kid can sling it, but they are 5-4. Multiple teams that we should theoretically beat and some we did held them to much lower totals (UND 27, Indiana St. 20, Ill St. 21) so yeah tip your cap to him, but our defense was shit in that first half and there was no reason they couldn't have played well enough to force them to punt one damn time. It was busted coverages or our DBs giving 10 yard cushions, or sloppy tackling...pick your poison. We made it way too easy on them and they took advantage.

This team has to start learning how to close out a season against teams you need to and should beat. There is absolutely no reason you shouldn't have taken care of business at USD, then to compound things you let that one slip away at home against a good but not great UNI team. If they are ever going to take that next step, these are the games the Dakota schools win, even if they don't win pretty. That's how you win championships. That's how you get home games in the playoffs. There is too much talent on this team to be sitting at home come playoff time, but that sure looks like where we are headed.

Sorry, still a bit salty over this SECOND YEAR IN A ROW late season collapse.
