Either SIU scores here or it suffers an embarassing loss at home.

Pathetic loss.  Thought they had turned that corner last week but it looks like this program might be in worse shape than I thought.

And that's probably the last time I care about SIU football for the year.  Wake me up when this program is ready to grow up.

Well, at the very least they make it exciting.

Appears now it will be another long and losing football season in Carbondale.

Reis pointed out that each time SEMO has beat SIU since SEMO grew-up to be a D-1 program SIU has had a losing season.

Go Dawgs!

Tuke is 2-3 against SIU. Pretty damning for SIU IMO, especially when he is at a place where no real resources are committed to sports.

That loss was embarrassing.  Should’ve been a blow out.  I’m extremely disappointed in this program...

This game was extremely disappointing.  I didn't think it would be close and SIU would get the importance of starting the home schedule with a solid win against a program that doesn't stack up with the likes of the MVFC.  Another blown opportunity!

In addition, it's clear that SIU's defense is really really bad.  I kind of wrote off the performance against Ole Miss, but the performance against SEMO was unacceptable.  Hill needs to find a way to get this corrected and if that means putting someone else on staff in charge of the defense then so be it.  When one guy gashes you're defense for over 300 yards and your not making adjustments to contain him, that's pathetic.  Their running back had at least 4 plays right up the middle that went for big yards or touchdowns.  Kudos to SEMOs offensive line for opening holes for the kid, but where are SIU's middle linebackers once he gets to the second level?  Very frustrating.

And in several of those ridiculous runs, NO one even touched the running back. Yes, the defense is atrocious.

March on triumphantly!

I agree completely. Semo runs the same play up the middle for huge yardage over and over and our defensive coach never seems to adjust to the play.

1. There is a spelling deficiency in our program: there is no "D" in Southern Illinois.

2. We need more Florida players because they're way better than those Midwest farm boys and neighbor hood kids who have been beating us over the years. Everybody says so...

Did the cheerleaders take a knee? Perhaps they could get down on both knees and pray for this team.
