SIU administration has been OK with declines in lots of areas beyond just basketball and football, this is the norm sadly.
Very disappointing to lose that game. It didn't help that we lost Crider early but that should not have made a difference. They need to put the bye week to good use and tighten some things up.
Based on what we have seen thus far, the defenses performance will make or break this season. Paulson and Co. need to get this corrected. Coach Hill and his staff really can't afford another losing season, in year 3. Use the bye week to plug the holes that were exposed during the Ole Miss and SEMO games.
I'm going to make a shocking statement here. I don't think a bad year would be enough to necessitate a coaching change. Probably not even for Paulson! I still want to see better, because damn it, we really, really, REALLY need some positivity around campus and on this board.
