@mr_woogers why would lindauer play at all?  He was activated to be insurance and hasn’t shown anything, other than a long run where he fumbled.  And apparently the inept offensive coordinator can’t decide and Nick Hill won’t run the show. Curry was all-state in Illinois’ largest class.  He can play.  But he can’t play with confidence if lindauer has to come in every other series or set of plays.  Show some confidence…he’s going to be around for a while and, contrary to most/all posters, he’s got more upside than D. J. Williams, who has never been a winner.  Get some sane coaching and it might get better.

LOL  Curry's passing was awful. Silly me, I assume you're always going to try to have your best chance of scoring on the field  even if you aren't making the playoffs!

And Curry has more upside than DJW? You're tripping. DJW is so obviously the most talented QB we've seen this year. Don't know about the frosh. from Louisville who never played. If Curry is ever the starter after this year (excepting some injury situation like currently), then SIU football is on the way down. Hunter Simmons will be the main backup next year.

@valleyfb Completely agree. DJW will be #1 as long as he is here and healthy.

@mr_woogers 100%. DJ looked incredible by game 3 in this offense. Over 300 passing and 100 rushing vs Incarnate Word before injury late. This is his team the 1st day of camp 2025.
I also have zero problems playing both Curry and Lindauer. Lindauer looked good vs ISU all things considered. The fumbled sucked but the 52 yard run was nice. Curry outside of pick 6 had a great game vs ISU. Vs MSU Curry missed open guys and Lindauer made two bad throws and decisions.  I’d like to see both get reps moving forward.

Why do the SIU faithful keep hoping things will change? Hill has proven that he either doesnt have the b a l l s or just doesnt care this year  The wheels started falling off and he has done nothing to improve! Im sick of hearing how good the O line is, We cant run the ball! The qb's run for their lives. Sure Qb injuries have set back the passing game I will give you that but WHY cant we run the damn ball? cant blame that on the Qb. Hill needs to go, he was grandfathered in to the position and has been given plenty of time to create a winner. Some seasons he beats who he is supposed to but falls flat in the big games. Defense is horrible too. the defensive backs have to rank near the bottom in yards and td's allowed. Pack it up Hill, time to go

@stengdawgs 3 starting OL guys out all year. Only playing with 2.5 guys they thought would be starters upfront. Evan’s and Green have played most the year with injuries. RB room hit with injuries.
12 or 13 different offensive players out at different times. D lost best LB to preseason injury and 2nd best LB leaves during summer. Down to a true frosh QB and a GA that spent 2 years out with shoulder surgery.
Hills just fine and will be back in playoffs next year. Freshman class laoded and DJ and Simmons will be back.

@valleyfb can't wait to eat crow on this but next year all injuries aside we will either be a 7-4 bubble team that loses games we should win or a 5-6 just waiting to take the next step team like the other years. 9 years in and an overall sub .500 record and worse in the Valley show us what his peak is... If that's what we want then yes... Nick is fine.
