BTW, does anyone have any feel for how legit (or not) the penalty was that negated the pick-6? That call could have been really costly, had Southern not dominated the final quarter quite so emphatically. 😀
If anyone knows of a source where I can watch this, please let me know. On the Big10 network I got the Indiana game instead. And the Big10 network is obviously not going to replay it.
Check the BTN app. They might have it available on demand.
Just got back from Evanston. What a moment. What a TEAM win. I was really blown away by the lack of mental mistakes and miscues. Team played focused. Reis said there was 4-500 SIU fans there, but there were a lot tucked away under the press box in the shade where he couldn’t see. Really good turnout.
I’ll be honest…I’m still in shock. I didn’t expect this in a million years. NU has a good running game, and just seemed to go away from it too quickly. I’m exhausted. But I had a blast. I love these great moments.
Not sure where Reis got his 400-500 number from. 850 tickets were sold through the SIU ticket staff alone. We were at the game and I would guess there were at least 1500 SIU fans at the game when you consider the SIU fans sprinkled throughout the stadium. Very good Northwestern student turnout, but otherwise very poor fan support for Northwestern overall. Also, many NW students left at halftime. Of course, unfortunately the same thing happens at SIU home games. One very cool thing Northwestern did was have all the students come in at the same time and run down the sidelines to their seats. They just kept coming illustrating how good of a student turnout it truly was!
Yeh, not sure how, or where, Reis came up with that bad estimate.
There were Saluki fans everywhere, obviously including the large group in the north end zone. Many SIU tailgaters too, some of whom didn't even go into the game. Great turnout in my opinion.
March on triumphantly!
There was less SIU fans than I thought there’d be honestly, maybe because of the 0-2 start or maybe my expectations were way too high. Still a good showing and our fans were loud all game, much louder than Northwestern’s for good reason
I'm definitely gonna have to watch Pardon The Interruption on Monday. Tony Kornheiser is going to ROAST Mike Wilbon (an NU grad) for this!!
BWAAAHAAAHAAHAHAHA!!!
I WAS RIGHT! Kornheiser roasted Wilbon right from the opening on national television for losing to us. It was awesome!
GO DAWGS!!!!

Here's some extended highlights (30 minutes long). Hoping someone posts the whole game eventually
