they've got some corn fed women up there.
There's a lot corn feeding down here too. Even the cheerleaders have averaged about 20 pounds more than when I went to SIU in the 60s. I think it is a sign of the times, perhaps the end of the world even. I'll say one thing, the TV feed is so much better than ours it is a shame we can't be as good in that area also. Maybe it is the camera adding all those pounds?they've got some corn fed women up there.
Think the Dakotas have their games professionally produced by local tv networks. The difference in quality shows.

I’m glad I stopped watching. Our defense has really done complete 180 from last year. D-line was a worry coming in to the season and it was certainly warranted. They’ve been awful. We can’t tackle and our secondary might as well not be there (blown coverages or just getting blown by). 549 yards given up…300+ on the ground.
Offensively, we can’t move the ball when it matters, still struggle to finish drives, and can’t run the football to save our lives. Can’t wait to hear what Hill says about still not being able to run the football at this week’s presser. It’s been 3 years of not being able to run the football and I hear the same tired excuses…”it’s not just the lines fault, it’s play calling, personnel, etc. if you haven’t figured it out yet not sure you ever will.
I expected this year to be a bit of a transition year, but my goodness…we may have taken more steps back then I thought.
We are terrible. Our defense can't stop anyone and our QB can't throw it in the ocean. We are going to finish DFL in the league. The end.

They're not the worst team in the MVFC by a mile. Murray State lost 72-35 to North Dakota and Indiana State lost to Houston Christian. I think they're probably a 5 win team though, maybe 6 if they can beat Illinois State who they've played well recently.
I didn't see the game as I was traveling but the outcome doesn't surprise me margin does somewhat that being said after reading all of the comments about recruiting I ask the question is it a lack of talent or a lack of development i just ask because a majority of lower teams develop line play on both sides to compete it is not a skill position problem or a scheme problem in my opinion it is development to improve recruits that are here and develop depth on both lines in this conference if you can't run it or stop the run you suffer and so far are lines aren't developing in my opinion
I don't think we're the worst team in the league, but I'll be surprised if we beat the hated Redturds unless we greatly improve this week. Surely we can win at InSU and beat Murray here. Those are the only two games I feel confident in winning.
NDSU, SDSU, Redturds, Mo St., YSU - any wins will be an upset. Just be glad we don't play North Dakota - they would beat us like a drum.
If we can have the services of Mr. Williams after 4 weeks, 5 with bye week, that could prove quite beneficial. He seemed to be getting better each game.
Viewing the schedule, 5 MVFC victories are a strong possibility IMO if the above scenario becomes reality.
With the above being said, injuries or not, yesterday was inexcusable from the very start. Not prepared once again. We were out of the game by the start of 2nd qt. down 28-0. Our defense needs their captains to return, and others who have not been ruled out for the season. Yours truly still has hope for a successful season.
On another note: Does anyone know why Caleb Wagner, and/or the transfer from Duquesne (robinson) have not played? TYIA
We are going to finish DFL in the league. The end.
Care to place a bet on that?
How can any team be worse than what we saw yesterday??
Did you see Murray State lose to a non-scholarship school? Did you see Indiana State lose to Houston Christian? Both teams are really bad. We won’t finish last, but only beating them would still be a really poor season.
