@tj-mcflys Nothing you referenced is relevant to his decision is suspect. 1) NU lost to SIU because SIU was the superior team, especially that day. 2) NU finished 1-11 due to poor quarterback play, among other things. It's the same question NU fans are asking, believe me. 3) NU never sells out Ryan Field unless away fans from OSU, UM, Wisco, etc. help out.

Despite all that -- its is 100% better opportunity. Add in the NU degree (Top 10 University in the U.S.) and it's a slam-dunk.

Don't you mean touchdown?  🤣

I come in peace. This is not a head-scratcher in any way. NU just had four players drafted, OL first round, DL and DB and RB in later rounds, and several others get camp invites. Plus he gets the degree. Plus gets to play in front of huge crowds in classic venues. It's undeniably a better opportunity.

Huge crowds? Outside of Evanston, maybe.

Penn State @ NU in Evanston this year should be a sell out ...

vs. Iowa @ Wrigley Field might be a cool experience,

@ Wisconsin a sell out ...

All I'm trying to say is for a kid who was recruited by NU out of high school, but instead they offered a guy who was just drafted by the Colts, to now get a chance to play there, you should be able to see why that's attractive.
