I really need to turn ESPN notifications off for Saluki football. Get like 10 updates a game because they can't defend.
50-38 SDSU after 3.
We can't tackle anyone.
It would have been nice to see if we had a QB on the roster for next year.
57-38 final
There have to be serious structural changes with Saluki football. Not going to say everyone on the staff should be out. I do think massive changes will be needed to compete in the Valley.

I agree! The defense is non-existent. I understand there are significant injuries, but this unit is absolutely terrible. Also, do we have a kid on the roster that's a legit QB for next season?
Might get to see some QBs next week once the game is decided, which may be early against NDSU. These guys were all outstanding high school QBs.
I won't be surprised if Hill looks for a more experienced FBS or JC transfer this spring.
Stone Labanowitz QB 5-10 190 So.
Austin Reed QB 6-1 217 Fr.
Javon Williams Jr. QB 6-2 234 Fr.
Nic Baker QB 5-8 193 Fr.
The frustration on my end is with the close games. SEMO, Youngstown, ISU Blue, and WIU were all games SIU should have won. That’s 6 wins. Sure it’s short of a playoff bid but that’s progress. I think most, myself included, would take that.

Agree! Just can't seem to get over the hump. But this is also a common theme that plays out every year.

We need more Florida kids, only have 20. BTW, SDSU has 4, but a lot of Illinois and other Midwest kids.

There’s also lot of SIU kids from Southern Southern IL teams that, for the most part, got blasted out of the playoffs by the end of the 2nd round, our home team Yellow Jackets included. SIU has to get a lot more out of STL and Chicago. Recruit Mt. Carmel, Brother Rice, Loyola Academy, Joliet Catholic, Montini, MICDS, CBC, etc.
Sure, I’d like to see more recruiting around closer population centers, but coaching might be the bigger issue here.

Ditto on Chicago and suburbs, also Quad-Cities.
