Kare Lyles enters the transfer portal.  For the best.  He probably would have been 5th string also probably not offered a scholly.  Good luck to him.

Didn't see it.  Wish him well too.  The DB room is easily the most talented on this team.  Nick is still recruiting DB's.  Tanner had the same number of tackles Avante Cox -- a wide receiver.  Writing was probably on the wall.

It's going to be interesting seeing what seniors are asked back.  In an interview, Nick said that all the seniors are eligible to come back due to covid.  However, there won't be any additional schollies available.  So he is going to have to balance the extra year seniors with the incoming frosh class.  He doesn't want to rob the future of this incoming 2021 class by cutting the numbers severely.  Planning for the future.

I also took from that the fact that Nick is planning on being here long term.

This is a good one. Broke HS records at Evansville and committed to SIU for football and baseball. but blew up and took offer from Cincinnati.

How many QBs we have NOW?  5 or 6?

By my count - 8.  And I didn’t even have to take my shoes off.  Much too crowded.  Two or three will transfer.

In my opinion the 3 with the best pedigree's on paper are Foss, Norton and Lindauer. I like the grit and toughness of both Stone L and Baker. Also, they both played well for us this year. However, they are both about 5'8" and have to scramble out of the pocket to see downfield most of the time. This is a big disadvantage, and teams can scheme against it easily. Also Stone L's arm is not exactly strong. We rarely threw downfield with him. If we want to take our program to the next level I would guess one of the 3 pro style QB's I mentioned above may end up distinguishing themselves in practice and starting. All 3 have great size and big arms.

Are we 100% confident Stone L is coming back?  Just graduated.  Has always been the red headed step child in the qb room.  I hope he's coming back.  But he got a lot of good publicity this spring.  Maybe is being wooed by some other school claiming his talents would be more appreciated in their qb room.  I have no info.  I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'.
