I still can't get over how that game ended. We really should have put them away a couple different times in the 4th quarter.

Do we know yet how serious the injury to Baker is? I noticed he was in a boot on the sidelines.

I had to watch the game on replay late last night. I'm a bit shocked no one on here is giving Stone Labanowitz any props. There's a reason he won the starting job last year. He was terrific. Just made some great plays and some great passes and showed that escapability and quick thinking that kept our drives alive. We have a couple of good QBs on this team that can take us to the playoffs, assuming Baker's injury is not too serious!

Thought the whole team really came to play 2nd half and the D was great. Fact is, if UNI didn't get the benefit of a very questionable pass interference call, they would never have scored a TD!

Javon Williams looked healthy for the first time.

Romeir Elliot has great balance. Strong, Elliott, and Williams have to be the best RB core in FCS!

Wish we could play N. Dakota again.

The thing that seems to be overlooked in this season is how the Saluki's got here. It is great to finally to see the light at the end of the tunnel but the transformation of the last 5 years is amazing in the beginning of the Hill tenure we needed athletes we have improved needed to get tougher and more physical mission accomplished we need to compliment coach Hill on the way he has adjusted from being finesse based and out scoring people to a ground and pound defensive oriented team that can compete year in year out in the toughest conference in the country and also kudos to coach Hill to have the foresight to hire coach Petrino and transform the defense into a real positive GO DAWGS

Congrats on another BIG win Salukis! Unbelievable finish. Great effort and no quit. Yes, QB's deserve a lot of credit.

Defense won this one, but tackling still needs some serious attention.

March on triumphantly!

Incredibly lucky to win this one at the end, but we'll take it!  Our Defense played great all day, with the exception of that 4th down 52 yard play at the end.  All's well that ends well.  Labanowicz stepped up when he needed to.

I'd say we definitely won't be seeing Baker for the rest of the game at the very least. Doesn't look good

In a boot on crutches.  Not good

Boot, on crotches? Disguised as a basketball player?

I wish more fans would be allowed to show up to support this team.  I think we are in the midst of a historic season and it would be nice for the football program to be able to capitalize on it with larger attendance.

Another good game by both teams. We were hurt by a few calls against us and few on UNI that weren't called, but the refs reviewed them and they were consistent in their review of the plays. I'd give the refs a B. BTW the video scoreboard may not be "instant" replay, but they're much better than last year and most plays are being shown...even the questionables. We need to work on wrapping up our tackling of ball carriers and our over the middle pass defense. On offense, I'd like to see us pass over the middle more often. Better days are in the cards I feel, just gotta figure out what our gris-gris good luck charm is. Maybe it's the band on the knoll!

Yes, people were polite, distanced, wore the silly masks when coming or going, and there are a lot of unused, 6ft separated seats. On the other hand there were a few hundred no show tickets.

Labanowicz was awesome yesterday. I look forward to seeing him the rest of the year. Fingers crossed he doesn't get injured.

Another huge game next week. This schedule is unforgiving.

OK..but we always have Javon in the mix with those three also. At this point, I think the team would not skip a beat no matter who lines up behind center. Seems like that kind of team chemistry. These guys don't seem to be fazed by anything...double digit deficits, playing ranked teams or losing their QB. Check. Check. Check. Fun to watch these guys gettin' it done.

I just watched the game.  I agree with all the props already given.  But my game ball is going to the entire coaching staff.   I would have panicked yesterday on offense and abandoned the run too early and on defense gone entirely zone.  Both would have been wrong.  Good coaches don't make those silly mistakes.  I don't think we fully realize what an absolutely incredible job these guys have done this year so far.  Look no further than the second half performance in each game.  All the adjustments have worked perfectly.  Of course forget the UND game.  You can't blame the players getting discouraged in that game.  They all knew that their qb couldn't protect the ball and give them a chance to come back.  He being the starter over either Nic or Stone L has always been a curiosity to me.  I think Lyles would be able to come back this fall with the covid rules.  With Stone Norton becoming eligible and the other two guys in the qb room in addition to Nic and Stone L, I can't believe Nick will burn a scholly on him.  But I digress.

Nick's job is going to start getting even harder.  He's going to have to start working on keeping his staff together as larger programs come knocking.  No doubt many have already taken notice.  Good problem to have.  How many times did we hear this past week about Mark Farley and his 20+ years as UNI's head coach.  I bet in 25+ years the same kind of talk will accompany Nick.  We can only hope.

I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

I don't think Petrino will be the DC for much longer, I could see a Power 5 program poaching him.  He's done an incredible job since coming over and has guys like Jeremy Chinn getting drafted in the 2nd round.  But considering where the program has been, it's not a bad thing that members of your staff might get poached.  It's much better than the alternative!

We haven't talked about the loss of DL Blankenship, the transfer from Tulsa. He was one of our best DL and really dominated NDS. He tore his quad a couple weeks ago and probably out for season. Big loss. We're not that deep in the DL.
