This is what happens when you continually and consistently don't win. People lose interest. SIU's athletic department and the university as a whole can't afford to have people continually lose interest. Considering the enrollment situation, people are losing interest at rapid pace. SIU has a lot of cleanup to do. They've made a freakin' mess and as an alumni, I hate see this thing go down the tubes.
The stadium seemed empty for this game. Most of the expensive chair back seats were empty. Lots of season ticket holders did not bother in coming. What was the actual attendance of this game? I am guessing way below 2000.
This game, YSU, and SEMO were all winnable. That has to fall on someone that we didn't win, and that someone usually ends up being the head coach. Nick says all the right things after the game, unlike you know who, but at some point mistakes have to be fixed.
