Pretty sure Loyola was locked into this tournament before they got good.
I'd hope so. If not, it's not exactly the best way to capitalize on a Final Four run.
This is the kind of stuff the MVC needs to avoid.

Yep. Regardless of a final four run or not this is pathetic.

Years ago, no MVC team would have been in a tourney this week. However, the actions of several coaches in the league (including the Grand Poobah Barry) have made this so commonplace in the conference that no pressure was on Moser to find an alternative.

Tulsa vs Nevada then SIU vs UMass--the winners play each other and losers play each other
I'll gladly play UMASS (Even though they suck) and Tulsa/Nevada at an MTE. Would rather have them come to the Arena, but at least its a step in the right direction.

their board seems to think they will be much better this season--with most upper mids and lower high majors you can schedule them by what they were last year but that does not always predict the next year. Hopefully can beat them and get to play Nevada--unless THEY get beat by Tulsa

I'm not sure what venue this tourney is being played in.....but its not the Orleans Arena. They have had UCLA, North Carolina, Michigan State, & Texas scheduled to play there for quite some time and I don't see them kicking that tourney out for this one.
I guess it could happen if they play at night and our tourney is during the day.....but normally these events have lower level schools that play in the early session.
Here's a link to the Orleans Arena schedule of events if anyone wants to confirm it......
Oh goody a game with Arkansas Little Rock.
Yeahhhhh. That should sell some tickets

We have a three game season and we have have to go undefeated. Period.
The reward for going 3-0 is a three year contract extension for PT.
Happy days!

You boiled it down to the essence of the season.

Correct. Success or failure since the present coach arrived is dependent upon winning those 3 or 4 games and we know how that's turned out so far.

Well it seems (www.mvcfans.com) that Loyola bought themselves out of that tournament and joined the Sunkist Tourney . It's marginally better --they play Richmond (12-20, RPI 175) and (if they win that one) the winner of Boston College (19-16, RPI 95) vs Wyoming (20-13, RPI 98).

Barry is salivating at the chance of taking their place.
