No way the NCAA puts the two best Mids on opposite sides of the bracket so SIU and the Zags will meet in the Final Four.

It is a team sport and Gonzaga will challenge for the NC. Where was the bad choice again ?

- Gonzaga is usually overrated IMO. Seriously doubt they will challenge for a NC, although they got there in 2017 - really helps when you start out with a very good seed. They will usually get to the NCAA with a very good seed, being a very good team in a weak conference where they rarely lose a game - they also don't get beat up playing in the WCC. Once in a while, they do get a game from St. Marys.
If they played in the extremely tough and physical Big 10, their seeds would not be as high as they currently get and their record would not be nearly as good. And they probably wouldn't win conference championships either. This makes a huge difference in how a team is able to navigate the NCAA tournament.
- Cook gets to sit on the bench. I call that choosing poorly. Sure he'll get to play - seriously doubt he will start.
(On the other hand, I absolutely do not think he would be the best player for the Dawgs next year, and would split a lot of time with our other guards.)
