Ugh. I hadn't visited Shockernet in ages. Wow, is it ever gross over there! I'm not one of these "their fanbase sucks and ours is great" people, and I always thought there were more than a few decent blokes over there; in fact, I used to spend a bit of time over there and was for the most part treated respectfully. I thought it was no better nor no worse than our board in that respect (well, OK: maybe slightly worse, but not that much more arrogance than our board when we were flying high).
Now? Ick. There are some seriously delusional a-holes over there. They've always been there, but I don't know where the good guys went (though there are a few).
I guess every meltdown is different? Over there, meltdowns seem to bring the biggest a-holes into dominance; here, meltdowns seemed to bring the better posters back. But again, that's probably because of the different natures of/reasons for the meltdowns.
But man, there is some ugly/entertaining stuff going on over there.
