Teams are having difficulty scheduling D1 teams because they can't offer the guarantee this year. And it's probably even harder in SIU's spot:

So the complaints about the schedule may have been overdone. Although I find it hard to believe we couldn't find a decent MAC team to fill one of the D2 games. And not sure what happened with the Murray State series.

The inference that Bryan Mullins wants to “schedule down” is absolutely ridiculous. Anyone who believes that doesn’t know Bryan Mullins. He will play anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Off topic a bit, but I would like to see non-conferebce schedule include SLU, SIU-E, Eastern Il U., Murray, SEMO, WKU. Alternate home and away.
