Les has never seen an expectation that wasn’t too high.
Glad Bucky was willing to state the obvious: that the subpar offense held this group back from being a postseason team.
I don’t know how many times Mullins said in interviews this year that the team’s strength was its depth and different guys stepping up on different nights but that always struck me as wishful thinking more than reality. If there was that kind of quality depth, it didn’t show up often enough at the offensive end.

During the national title game tonight Jim Nance mentioned Juwan Newton and SIU three different times as Juwan is the brother of Tristen Newton of Uconn. Tristen scored 18 points, had 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals in their national championship win. After Jim Nance said he had talked to Juwan at half time he mentioned that the Newton brothers are cousins to Green Bay Packers RB Aaron Jones. I had been wondering what the connection was as Aaron Jones attended a Saluki basketball game earlier this year as Juwan's guest. Jones was very vocal during that home game cheering hard for Juwan and the Salukis!
