I see Nagy as using a more traditional center, that probably means Moreno for the bulk of minutes. Hensly’s big minutes may actually be in peril. That’s not a bad thing.I just don’t see Hensley getting much time at the 5 at all.
I see Sykes as a 25-plus minute type guy, probably at the 4, given the wing depth. Not to mention the 6-8 JUCO they just added. So, that would put Hensley’s minutes in peril if he’s not at the 5.
If Moreno (or Webber) are good enough to play starter’s minutes and help the team, I could see it playing out that way. But I think that’s an if at this point.
Probably not the right thread here, but now that roster is full, except for possibly more walk-ons, how does the out of conference schedule look for next year? Trying not to get too far ahead of things, but just curious.
March on triumphantly!

Thanks. Not sure how I missed that, been a rough weekend...

Yes, a lot of ifs because we have 11 new players and Saluki fans have only seen a couple of the new ones play at all. It’s easy to have a pretty good feeling about how this roster shakes out.I see Nagy as using a more traditional center, that probably means Moreno for the bulk of minutes. @uncledawgpound He is a 2025 recruit and can't sign with anyone until the Fall of 2024. He did get an offer from SIUE but I don't think he has even verballed to them yet unless I missed it, which is certainly possible.
But then again, WSIL writes their stories at the level of a 5th grader so who knows if the actual reporting is correct either.
Only thing I see about Tedeschi is SIUe offered him, doesn’t say he committed outside of that WSIL article

The headline says he got a Verbal commit from SIUE not that he gave them one. WSIL TV3 sports is a joke. Did you see the list of names they gave for potential hires for SIU basketball before Nagy was hired? It was brutal.
Yeah, I saw that nonsense and didn't see any other confirmation that he had signed, so I assumed he's still available. The bigger question is do we want him. He's pretty thin and his knees seem pretty iffy. But he's long, local and appears to shoot well and plays good defense. Maybe a good replacement for Hensley, assuming that's a slot we want to keep filled. But then again, WSIL writes their stories at the level of a 5th grader so who knows if the actual reporting is correct either.
Verbal Commits has him unsigned with the E being his only offer.

"Elijah fills a need that we desperately had, a lead guard that is tough, can really handle pressure and can score," Nagy said. "He will be one of three seniors on our team, and we expect him to give us great leadership."

"Antwaun is a forward that will provide experience and tremendous athleticism to an already long and athletic team," Nagy said. "He gives us the ability to rebound and play faster because of his speed and motor."
And finally our last signee........................
Really good read on the recruitment and journey of Elijah Elliott:
