I think most of the team hits the portal at some point. It opens on Monday.
They can announce anytime. Recruitment doesn't start until Monday. Also, SIU is on spring break this week which may or may not have an impact on players announcing. The Monday date for open recruitment gives added urgency for getting a coach in place. I believe there is a new rule where an immediate 30 day window opens for coaching changes. It really doesn't matter much b/c the normal window opens up in a few days. I agree though, I think we'll see mass defections, especially if a coach hasn't been identified.

I did expect a few others to announce for the portal by now. Maybe they're waiting to see what happens with the coaching search.

And take Miller off of it....
If we're going to support a new coach, perhaps we should support THEIR decisions on who should stay or go. While Miller significantly underperformed vs our expectations, perhaps the current staff had something to do with that (not implying that in any way). My point is that I'm going to support the direction and decisions of the new staff, until proven otherwise.
