I think in todays society of instant gratification, is probably a good barometer of certain opinions on any sports talk sight.
It is the way of the world, not happy after a “few” years. Fire and move on. No matter what hire you have it’s still a crap shoot, just like in recruiting players. You don’t know what you will get.
It def polarizing. There’s two dudes on twitter who are sharing coach k first five seasons as a reason we shouldn’t have gotten rid of Mullins. I can understand being upset but he’s not coach k
I did not share the post, but if you think that was the point of the post you missed the point.

Belmont is gonna look much different next year
Is NIL money taxed? Can it be deferred? Placed in a tax shelter?
@oberkfell Until two years ago, anything under $20,000 was not taxed. This year anything under $5,000 is not taxed. Next year, the first $600 is not taxable. The remainder is. It can be deferred and can be placed in multiple different tax sheltering products.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!

maybe I did. Just seems the camps are either. You think he can win in 7 years or you don’t. If you don’t then you wanted him gone if you did you wanted to keep him.
as we all want the same thing and that is we want the program to be successful
Perhaps you haven't been reading Saluki 4 "LIFE" or Dawgbytes posts?
100 percent agree we may not agree on everything but we all love Siu and want it to be great

Interesting. Will be his third team in three years. He's not NBA ready imo despite the skillset. Vandy folks said he's uncoachable. But maybe he wants to move back to a P6 and prove it. Seems like Belmont would be a good place to showcase his skills and they just had Sheppard drafted.
I'm genuinely surprised by the Belmont departures. I feel like they had a real shot at winning the conference next year. That being said, the program continues to churn out 20 win seasons (14 straight and 18 out of 19 despite changes in conference, coaches and players).
For the sake of the conference, I hope they rebuild quickly.
Mullins navigation of the portal this past season was probably his undoing.
He replaced 2 Big Ten starters with 4 guys who have no business being on an MVC roster.
It was disasterous.
Maybe not 4, but I basically agree. He wasn't a great recruiter or game coach. YET.
Yeah, I would leave Hensley out of that conversation. The other three? No argument here.
The one i look at is coach Spradlin, who a lot of us are thinking might be our next coach because of his "sustained success". Yet, look at how he started out at Morehead, 4 straight losing seasons and an overall record of 48-76. Finally year 5 broke out with a 23-8 season and an ncaa bid. But if he starts out like that for us, he will probably get fired. It def polarizing. Hensley was a senior who struggled to shoot, barely averaged 5 ppg, and couldn't rebound for shit.
If he is a MVC level player or what you consider a portal success story then SIU will never make the NCAA tournament again.
