The only guys I expect to want to stay is the ones no other team really wants. New coach certainly will be able to choose if he wants them though.

Is it normal for all the current players to transfer before a new coach is announced? Unless they have been told who the new coach will be. I know the transfer portal is wild these days but just seems like you’d wait to talk to the new coach first. Seeing those three guys all put in for the portal today sucks.
I think they already made up their minds, just all announced today.

With a good coach, Ebube could be a force. I think he could land at a Power 5 program.

Yeah, I would leave Hensley out of that conversation. The other three? No argument here.
Hensley was a senior who struggled to shoot, barely averaged 5 ppg, and couldn't rebound for shit.
If he is a MVC level player or what you consider a portal success story then SIU will never make the NCAA tournament again.
I'd like to see Hensley stick around -- he has one more year of eligibility, correct? He showed some real progress toward the end of the season and might be able to contribute more next season.
Yes Hensley did improve. Fact is BM should have been playing him a lot more earlier in the season. Once he got enough minutes in a game to get in that rhythm, he showed some talent. Guy could jump to the moon and was a good shot-blocker. Not a bad shooter either.
Stulic was fair but not sold on him. I do think Mullins gave up on him way too soon, because our outside shooting was an issue in a lot of games later in the season.
