Back to Gottlieb to Green Bay … another Saluki connection is Gottlieb and Hawkins have known each other for a long time … pretty sure Gottlieb tweeted something congratulatory at Hawkins when he was announced at Southern.
I would not have been surprised if Gottlieb had made a run at Hawkins to join the Green Bay staff if he hadn’t just made the SIU move, especially given Hawkins’ upper Midwest ties. Also would not be surprised to see Green Bay on Southern’s schedule in the near future.

he started at New Mexico State and didn’t play so I think he comes in as a Redshirt Junior:

I think Rolyns redshirts so I expect a lot of Hensley, Webber, Moreno at Center
Love it let's go! Seems to be a true 5
Not really sure what to think about this one as his numbers, at least, don't really provide a lot to get excited about. That being said, we all know that stats don't always reflect the true nature of the player.
Here something I found, it starts with defensive abilities, but then goes into his offensive moves. He is quick for a big guy but seems (with what LITTLE video I saw, to rely heavily on his right hand and going over his right shoulder in the post).

So, he spends a year at Drake, 2 years at Kansas and then a year at Washington State, only come full circle and finish up back with Darren DeVries (and Tucker) at West Virginia.
I would describe my initial thoughts as he is solid. Won't be lights out, but dependable and can play a lot of minutes. Has good handles and good hands for a big man. Fundamentally very solid on defense. Not a leaper and not highly athletic, but a good passer and has good court awareness. Seems to be a good offensive rebounder. Also, had a lot of assists for a center that reinforces he is a good passer. Not a good free throw shooter. By his stats it looks like he can shoot the occasional 3.Not really sure what to think about this one as his numbers, at least, don't really provide a lot to get excited about. The Texas ties continue to run deep. I guess now we can say Tex-Mex. He seems like a D1 big but TBD on whether he’s a starting caliber MVC big. That said, at this point you’d probably have to pencil him in as such given the other options are freshmen or not natural 5s.
Would have rather retained Ebube but hopefully Moreno can give good minutes in the post and fit Nagy’s system.
Jorge looks pretty light on his feet for his size, and looks like a solid defender! I like his potential!

Team's leading rebounder. 48% FT shooter. Led the team in blocks. Looks like nobody on this team played many minutes per game.
The minutes per game arent' accurate, lots of junior college teams don't keep accurate minutes. Thing that stands out to me is, stats wise, he was actually quite a bit better his freshman year, over 10ppg and shot nearly 65%. Wonder if he was maybe hurt some last season or something. Not really sure what to think about this one as his numbers, at least, don't really provide a lot to get excited about.
