Well Elliot, Dibba, and Steffe is a good place to start the roster for next season… IF we are lucky enough to have those 3.

Agree with you here, however I am fearing the worse scenario. Notably Dibba.
Not surprising about Kennard given the season he had and his appeal as a two-way player, but still terrible news. If you're going to finally make the leap as a program back to MVC title contention after two decades of being an also-ran, you need something special/unexpected to happen, and keeping a guy like Kennard for four years would qualify in this landscape. But, sadly, not happening.
I figure Nagy's teams, when healthy, will score it at a pretty good clip, but his teams have not been good defensively in recent years, and that's where losing a guy like Kennard might hurt most.
Nagy has said repeatedly that he views NIL primarily as a way to reward your returning guys, and that philosophy has quickly clashed with reality.
If you're looking for a silver lining, the staff knows his intentions very early in the recruiting cycle, so they can plan their recruiting/NIL budgeting accordingly.

I know I'm in the minority on this, but I would not be totally busted up if Dibba does not return. He is a hell of a scorer when he gets going, and I'd like him back, but not at all costs from an NIL standpoint ... not sure there is enough focus/leadership there to expect him to be the catalyst of a championship-type team, unless he really grows in those areas.

I think Dibba can be a Larry Bird Award contender if he's back. I think he's just scratching the surface of his potential.

I heard Davis is a shoo-in for Arizona State

Had lunch yesterday with a friend who graduated from the University of Minnesota and he told me that based on what he's hearing, there's a lot of interest in McCollum there. But he said the basketball program ranks near the bottom of the Big Ten in NIL money, which really hampered the previous coach, so the job isn't as attractive as it could be.
I could see Purdue being interested in Davis. They would love to have a 6-6 athletic guard who can defend and score. Maybe Illinois or other Big Ten schools will show interest. I’m sure SLU and Mizzou will be interested also, but he turned them down leaving high school. I hate seeing him leave but understand the current landscape of college sports. I don’t want to see him at another Valley school.

Rumor is McCaffery is done at Iowa. McCollum would be welcome there I imagine.
@mr_woogers I don’t think there is any doubt Iowa would be interested in him and he is interested in them. Bye bye Des Moines hello Iowa City.
