@freedawg Purdue for certain. Sorry he's in the portal, but that does free up some deniro for others if he exits. And as much as I hate to see him go, he had his flaws, especially not passing the ball to an open man. Huge upside though, with the right team.
March on triumphantly!

Do you have a source for him transferring to Purdue?
Fran McCaffery will be fired at Iowa this afternoon.
@saluki44 Know some PU insiders who say he is on their radar screen FWIW. They also really loved Lance Jones.

I sense a bidding war for McCollum between Iowa, Indiana and maybe Minnesota.
If Iowa, he wouldn't have to move, plus he probably has relatives in Iowa.
I'm a rabid Indiana hater - would hate to see him go there. Minnesota with their 7 months of winter might not be desirable, unless you like to fish.
There may be other power conferences after him too. Amazed he lasted so long at D2 actually.
@salukiworld DeVries probably has a substantial buyout maybe as high as 30-40% of remaining value of his contract.
@saluki44 Nothing concrete, but I am sure Painter follows what SIU is doing. He also talks to Weber who probably also follows SIU. With ESPN+ coaches can have their video person highlight games for them, even individual players. After the success Purdue had with Jones, I would bet he is aware of Davis.
Wouldn't it be funny if Davis ended up at DePaul

Just read an article (ESPN I think) stating there weren't too many high-major coaches available due to big buyouts. They listed several candidates that did not have big buyouts. DeVries was one of them.
McCollum and Devries:
Future Saluki 6'9" Daniel Pauliukonis of Benet Academy in the first 4A semi-final on Channel 26 in Chicagoland, but most likely available all over the state.
If you're gonna reply to me in the forums, please quote what I wrote that you're replying to so I have a clue...thanks! 😀
This is from a West Virginia website/blog.
WVU signed DeVries to a five-year, $15 million contract last offseason. DeVries's contract includes a buyout clause should he leave for another job before April 30, 2028. The clause stipulates that DeVries would owe WVU 37.5% of his remaining contract.
3/8 of $12 remaining on contract = $4.5 million.
How pathetic is it for the wife of a former head coach to be commenting on a social media post of Kennard’s transfer portal announcement?
