Coming soon!
It doesn’t really matter when the guy signs until summer workouts.
@salukiworld while true. I guess the logic is just missing. Why wouldn’t he sign earlier? It’s not like the stock goes up. He’s only gonna command so much as a non playing bench piece. What benefit is there to wait? For him. He’s not getting starting nil money
First off you’re making assumptions. If you’re talking The 6’11” kid Pikkar from SLU he has, signed and whether it’s starter money or not, it’s still negotiable. If his attorney and SIU take awhile then they do. Get used to it, it’s the new reality. If you’re talking about Aligbe, well he might very well be asking for starter money and have options. There will be schools signing kids all the way through August given the current environment. Its now just a fact of life. Gotta be patient.
They all have negotiating leverage at some level, whether they should or not. 🙁

Nagy is on with Jeff Bidwell, says they’re at 13 and waiting for one to be official and waiting on one more
Pikaar is obviously the one that isn't official but it's reassuring that he says they're at 13. I suppose Prince Aligbe is the one they are waiting on.https://twitter.com/akajeffbidwell/status/1922653235300511808?s=46

Can Prince play the 3? Seems with Pikaar and Prince we would have a log jam of big men. Webber, Aligbe, Prince A, Pikaar, Moreno, Sykes... Maybe they see Pikaar, Sykes and Prince as potential 3s?

Prince played the 4 and 5 at least at the end of the season last year (mainly the 4 but played some 5). I think we have good big man depth but not sure you can fully trust it yet with none of them really established yet.
Roster as of now:
1:
- Quelron House
- Jalen Haynes
- Caden Hawkins
2:
- Isaiah Stafford
- Drew Steffe
- Luke Walsh
3:
- Davion Sykes
- Damien Mayo
4/5:
- Rolyns Aligbe
- Jorge Moreno
- Jaheem Webber
- Daniel Pauliukonis
I think Pikaar is coming in as a 3/4 with his playing style. If the final one is Aligbe and not another 3, I can also see us running some lineups at the 1-2-3 of House-Stafford-Steffe, or some other combination. I see some pretty good flexibility here

I will be shocked if the 3 you mentioned aren't locked in starters already. I would say the starting guards will be House, Stafford, Steffe. Mayo first off the bench.
I agree, Steffe is your starter at the 3. Sykes plays the 4 mostly. If we get Prince Aligbe that leaves us 6 guys to play the 4 and 5 spots. I like that depth in the post. With that depth Pauliukonis almost certainly redshirts. I think he plays both the 3 and 4 spots when he is ready. I seriously wouldn't be surprised if Moreno starts at the 5. He really improved as time went on last year and we sure could use his size there. Remember, he has only been playing basketball for a short time, relatively speaking. He really improved his post moves as the season went along. He's also a good rebounder and rim protector. Him being in good shape will be key. I agree you can pencil in House, Stafford and Steffe to start at the 1, 2 and 3 spots. I would also say Prince Aligbe would be the odds on favorite to start at the 4, but would guess both Sykes and Pakaar get time there also.Roster as of now:

I'm curious around Sykes role... bit of an undersized 4, and he's listed as a guard on the 25-26 roster at the moment.
If Sykes continues to improve his range, he could provide valuable minutes anywhere from the 2-5 spots depending on matchups. I like the versatility of the roster if Prince is the newest addition. Can go big or small with several different looks.
