I just got an article from The UnderDawg that looks like is saying we may’ve picked up a commitment from Max Pikaar, 6’11” transfer from SLU.
Anyone else see anything?

Yes sir, I too have heard the same. I believe this said player has much upside and potential!
"In Nagy, I trusty!"
GO DAWGS!!!
Pikaar is a good get. Don’t know if it’ll work out but a 6’11 player that can shoot from outside and is a good playmaker is a great asset to have in the Valley. He’ll be our most exciting dunker since Thik Bol too
Max Pikaar is signing with us - per The Underdawg
He's a Saluki big man alright, he shot 36% from the ft line last year. haha
That's on a total of 11 Ft's. He's a shooter. Shot a high percentage at the line and from 3 in HS. Didn't get much of a chance to play at SLU. I did a deep dive on him. He will probably play the 4 or even some time at the 3. He won't play the 5, or if he does it will be very sparingly. He has great handles and is very mobile for 6'11" and like I said he can really shoot. Very European type player. Needs to gain weight and add strength. SLU board said he did gain 10-15lbs his freshman year. Has big time shot blocking potential too. Has a really long wing span. Was offered by Indiana State, Penn State, SLU, St Bonaventure, etc. coming out of prep. Same prep as Haynes. St Bonaventure also offered him out of the portal.Max Pikaar is signing with us - per The Underdawg

Pikaar has size and talent but also lots to prove after a very quiet freshman year.
So now Southern has Pikaar, Moreno, Webber and Aligbe? Either someone (Aligbe if he improves his range?) is going to play the 4 or that’s a serious logjam at the 5.
At the moment, the roster has some interesting pieces but is missing length/athleticism on the wing … not to mention proven scoring.

I’ll believe a 6-11 player playing the 3 when I see it.
I think you'll see both Pikaar and Aligbe at the 4. I don't think you'll see Pikaar at the 5, but if so it will probably be in a one off matchup type situation.Pikaar has size and talent but also lots to prove after a very quiet freshman year.

Too bad Ali didn’t stay. Could’ve had the Scandinavian Seekers patrolling the paint
By the way, when he did play for SLU it was mostly at the 4 with Avila at the 5.

to be fair, Dibba hasn’t gone anywhere yet and I haven’t heard an info on him since his initial list of teams
Whenever I hear of a 6-11 player who can shoot from the outside, I go back about 20 years in Saluki history and think "Kevin Pittsnogle" and how tough he was against us for West Virginia in an NCAA tournament game. I have no idea if he'll be as good as Pittsnogle, who played at about 250 pounds as I recall. Pikaar will need to add some bulk and strength, but Nagy is known for being big man-friendly, so there's reason for optimism. Still keeping my fingers crossed that we can add a proven scorer.
@salukiworld he had over 5 games with 15 plus minutes and no more than 2 points how does that happen at 6’11 guy who can shoot
He had 1 game over 15 minutes and in that game he had 6 rebounds and 5 blocks. Albeit against William Woods. He had 6 points in 11 minutes against Fordham and 6 points in 12 minutes against St Joseph's. When you are used the way Schertz used him there is no way to find a rhythm as a true freshman. He has the ability to be a scorer. He was a scorer at a very tough prep. His skill set translates very well, he just needs to develop and get a chance at this level. A summer and fall with the staff and in the weight room will really help. Like was mentioned earlier, Nagy has a really good rep for developing bigs.@salukiworld he had over 5 games with 15 plus minutes and no more than 2 points how does that happen at 6’11 guy who can shoot
