A healthy SIU team with Cook this year is probably around the Indiana St/Missouri St tier of teams in the Valley.
The guy's gone! He was a decent guard but not great - certainly not as good as some players that left our program. Not worth discussing IMO.

Man if this pandemic had happened last year, Eric McGill would be back. Led the team in steals and maybe the best rebounding guard in the MVC. I bet we'd finish in the top half of the league!

Ayway, I am glad for Cook to have the experience at Gonzaga that he would never have gotten at SIU this year, no matter if nobody got injured or messed up with Covid. Yeah, I would make the same decision if it were me and had the chance.
