Still playing good defense. Can’t stop a team that’s on fire.
Don’t have Brown and Harvey.
I bet we come back and win this.

This is a loss no matter what. This is why I was skeptical about the Paradise Jam performance. That Little Rock loss was awful and looms large. Can't buy into this team into they prove they can consistently win games.
Banks gets swatted at the rim every time he goes up for a layup
I cannot understand why neither Banks nor Filewich (who is huge) don't dunk. That's why they both miss so many bunnies.
Filewich has alligator arms, slow feet, and a vertical that has to top off at about 12 inches.
I'm not sayin' -- I'm just sayin'!
Alcorn State 36
SIU 22
Halftime
Pathetic

Hell, the Virgin Islands tournament is the only thing I have enjoyed this year.
At least we played 3 actual good teams and could have beaten all 3 of them.
Now back to playing the sisters of the poor, including D-2 nonsense.
In the words of John "Bluto" Blutarsky...
“My Advice To You Is To Start Drinking Heavily.”
If Mullins is as good a coach as everyone seems to think he is, including me, the Salukis will be fine by January when Valley play begins.
They sure as hell better be.
Absolutely brutal.

Yes, glass half full says the Salukis are allowed to be down 14 points at half to Kenpom #328 Alcorn State. C’mon now.

Alcorn State is out-rebounding them by 8 so far. You can blame hot shooting but Alcorn State is one of the smallest teams in D1, there's no excuse for that.
I'm sick of the injury excuse. There's no excuse for getting blown out by Alcorn State.
I’m too demoralized to look at how many points Southern has scored in first halves since the Little Rock game but I know the numbers would be quite dreary.
Can’t be a bad offensive team AND get outworked, like they have been tonight. Unacceptable.
D'Amico has looked good defensively which is nice in his first extended run of minutes. Offensive potential to.
Filewich needs to be in. Muila offers nothing offensively and despite what some here say he isn't particularly good defensively nor that good of a rebounder.
I know this board loves Coupet but there's a reason he only started for abysmal UNLV teams. He was just average as a senior on a bad Sun Belt team too.
Nice to see some offense from Verplancken. His D looks better this year.
Domask is still off but it feels like the type of "off" where all he really needs is a good performance to pull himself out of it.
Miss both Brown(SIU's best defender) and Harvey. Brown would also pull players off of Domask and Jones.
Jones is Jones although quieter than normal in the first half.
The pieces are there just need to put them together. Muila and Coupet probably arent starters on a good Valley team.

Why do I get the feeling that you drank a whole gallon of Kool-Aide before the game?

If Mullins doesn’t turn out to be the one that turns SIU around, we are seriously effed.
I'm guessing the halftime adjustments again will be to have Domask and Jones take over this game like the Austin Peay game. But why does it take a halftime adjustment again for that to happen? This team just isn't good outside of Domask and Jones and can't handle it when they're not scoring. It's Lowery levels of poor coaching to not have the best players have the ball.
