Newton has shown some signs of life last two games. XJ didn't play much tonight. Domask 36, Jones 34, RUPERT 26 - finally
I’m sure because of the regional ties SEMO will have us circled on the calendar.
It sure has a feel of another trap road game like Southern Indiana was. And if SIU plays like they have, I wouldn't be shocked if they lost.
There is a good chance, that will be an "easy money" game. I thnk SEMO has a real shot.

Wasn't thrilled with the lack of Wonders and Hornecker in the 2nd half. Although if they were going with the hot hand in Newton over Wonders, I'm fine with that. I just hope it doesn't become a thing.
Don't know if Saluki Radio named a Saluki MVP yet but it's Newton for me. Best game of the year for him and not sure they win without him.
Memo to the perpetual whiners: don’t pop all your cyanide capsules tonight, Drake fans want some also.

The only reason we won is, Acorn State was slightly more incompetent than SIU. A win is a win, even if super ugly. But I weep for the future.
March on triumphantly!
Newton POG - his best game, although I thought Lance was good, especially 2nd half.

If this is what you call whining, I take it you pay attention to fan comments nowhere else in sports. This is super tame stuff.
Plenty of room for legitimate, constructive criticism here when you barely beat Alcorn State. Not to mention this isn’t the type of team that can afford to play down to their competition.
I'm a whiner, but I substituted Sierra Torpedo Extra IPA for cyanide - milder hangover.
DAmico didn't start at center. CR got a bunch of minutes and helped our team. Cade had a good sniff! Whiners make things better! LOL
What was the Culver's flavor? Creamy lemon crumble? I need something to counteract this indigestion I'm experiencing.

Yes, this is what I call whining. And it is tedious as hell. As I have pointed out before, very wife-like. But it it makes you feel better, have at it. I’m sure all the whiners would absolutely excel as D1 basketball coaches. PS- my wife bitches a whole lot less than this.Memo to the perpetual whiners: don’t pop all your cyanide capsules tonight, Drake fans want some also.

Went to the game tonight. Game was just meh. Refs made that the longest regulation game that I can remember going to. Took care of business against we paid to come. Didn’t execute well, but I was a little more pleased with rotations. These guys need to execute better than they did tonight, but you aren’t gonna have it every night. Alcorn has pulled off a couple of nice upsets to far. But I’m glad we did in fact take care of business when we didn’t shoot that great.
I am happier tonight than I was after the sickmore game. Alcorn was very athletic, played hard on defense and made some shots that I can't believe they make every night. If I'm not mistaken we had a big in the lineup the whole game until the final minutes when he was substituting offense and defense. I would like to see more Cade and Wonders but hopefully their minutes will increase.
We spoke and Bryan listened. Rupert over D'Amico at the 5-spot. Now, please for the love of God can you give us someone other than Trent Brown at the 3-spot??
