@jabman62 there was no "drawing a foul" last night. It was evident from the get go which team was going to get the calls. The officiating crew easily swung this game ten point probably more. Multiple times Marcus was hammered and no call while drake got every call if someone breathed on them. The prior game I told everyone I was with they would call whoever was on Leon's and send him to the line to win the game. Precisely what happened. He fell over and they called a rigged game to set up Bradley for the future rig with drake. Siu jumped all over drake and we saw two bullshit calls that killed the momentum. That said the coaching staff is stupid for not playing cade and ebube all year and love Trent but damn. If we started from scratch coaching I'd be fine with it. I could go either way. But yeah. You're dreaming if you think those refs would call jack shit on drake last night.
The stupidity of the fanbase is amazing. You know I like Coach Mullins too. I was thrilled when he was hired. But, something seems to be missing. The inability to recruit is my main sticking point. True, we have not had some of the problems with players that some of the previous coaches have had. Coach Mullins has had 3 recruiting classes see the floor. Name one of these recruits that would see significant time for another conference team. Rupert ? Mulia ? Banks ? D'Amico ? Maybe, Ebube will be that guy in the future. Maybe Davis can be that guy in the future. Although, he is still a high school senior. This is 3 years of recruiting. Did Coach Mullins really say that he thought he could win a Valley Championship with this team ? With an offense that is ranked 309 in the entire country. Did injuries derail this team ? Did we really turn down Robby Avilla to sign Hornecker ? If we lose MD, LJ and X it is going to be a long and winding future road. If that is the case and those players choose to leave we will be in total rebuild again in year 5. Is that building a culture ? Like I said something is missing.
He is just not a good D-I head coach through 4 years. He might end up being a good one in his 40s someday.
But the only way that happens here is if we just stick with mediocrity for another 4 to 5 years.
He was a great Saluki player. But as a coach, he has not accomplished anything on the court in 4 years.
What is the most disturbing is he appears unwilling to make any adjustments to his philosophy.
He had all season to tinker with things. Nothing changed.

The officiating wasn’t good, but in no way did it alter the outcome of the game.
Look at the game statistics.
Look at the plus minus ratings, it was the Drake bench that killed us.
