Not feeling great about this game and of course it’s the first game of the tournament…this will make or break my weekend at the tournament.

5 Illinois State v 12 Missouri State 230pm
7 Murray State v 10 Evansville 6pm
6 UIC v 11 Valpo 830pm
Game 1 winner gets drake at noon on Friday
Game 2 winner gets Belmont at 230pm on Friday
Game 3 winner gets Bradley at 6pm on Friday
Game 4 winner gets UNI at 830pm on Friday
Illinois State looks to have the easiest road to Sunday
It's possible SIU ends up falling below Indiana State in NET, only matters for uniform color though

About the only upbeat thing I can say today is man does Drake look vulnerable lately (for a 1 seed), if SIU can avenge the wipeout in Terre Haute first.

We played Drake better than Bradley in the one game we got. Would rather get Drake after they've played once though given how many minutes their top guys play. Gonna be really tough for them to win 3 in a row.
If we would have won today we still would be the 8 seed but would be playing Evansville as the 9 seed.
Can we get some defense please!! This SIU team has allowed the most ppg in 30 years. We aren’t offensively talented enough to allow this many points. Tighten up the D and make this postseason a little interesting.

I will be there but quite honestly it is hard to get excited about a team that decides not to show up for big games, as in yesterday for example.

Not sure yesterday was a big game but understand and agree with the overall premise. Hopefully the tournament urgency brings something out of them worth getting excited about.
