Drake gets a 4 star commit, Darian's son
Just posted about this in the Recruiting forum as well, but very cool for Drake. They're hoping it's their Doug McDermott recruiting coup moment, or at least something in the ballpark.
Jim Root was on the March to the Arch podcast the other day and he did a really in-depth preview of the Valley this year. He has Domask on his first team, Lance Jones on his third team, and Dalton Banks as Freshman of the Year. Some really good stuff in here:

@salukiworld "Some really good stuff in here". Wow, this is really informative! Thank you for posting.
You are all still forgetting Ben
I'm not going to tease anyone about jumping on the bandwagon late, but trust me, now is the time to get on the Harvey Train. I fully expect him to finish top 3 in newcomer of the year, and wouldn't surprise me at all for him to win it outright. Nor would it surprise me if he received finished 1st or 2nd team All Valley by years end. It's not often that a player who hasn't played a single minute is my favorite player, but this is the case in Ben Harvey. I cannot wait to see him over the next 3 years alongside Marcus, Lance, etc.

I think, in time, Banks will turn out to be a good valley player, but my concern is that his lack of outside shooting will hurt him his freshmen year. Luckily, he is so quick off the dribble, he has the potential to play meaningful minutes right away.
For your viewing pleasure!
Just imagine him in maroon and white...
Just lil ole me, but neither forgetting, nor underestimating, Ben Harvey.
However, it's okay with me if others do, especially around the MVC. Also, this should help motivate him and the Salukis with their "chip" theme.
And while Floorburn U should be even more impressive this year, so should our offensive punch. Can't wait.
March on triumphantly!
Wow, Harvey appears to have amazing instincts and control over his body.
Harvey is much more than just a sniper!
We should see a lot of "and-1's" for him. As a Freshman he went to the free throw line 73 times in 695 minutes of play. That is 1 free throw every 9.5 minutes of play.
A comparison table to some of last season's Dawgs.
Min | FTA | Minutes Per FT | |
Harvey | 695 | 73 | 9.5 |
Jones | 824 | 92 | 9.0 |
Benson | 864 | 94 | 9.2 |
McGill | 1023 | 109 | 9.4 |
Domask | 1116 | 97 | 11.5 |
Brown | 659 | 18 | 36.6 |
